Local Authority Childrens' Services
CiE have a proven track record in working with Local Authorities and Childrens Services in relation to supporting school improvement and securing services to education.
Established in 1998 we have worked effectively with a number of Authorities across a wide range of initiatives.
The services we offer include: -
Providing additional support, other than that available from the LA, for those schools who have been identified by the Authority as requiring additional support or who have been placed in a catergory by OfSTED.
Developing whole Authority strategy in relation to behaviour support.
Helping the Education Service fulfil its duty under Section 173 Education Act 2002 to ensure that the needs of pupils placed in 'out county' or independent schools are met by monitoring provision.
Headteacher mentoring.
The strategic development of Care and Control/Physical Intervention across the Authority/Service.
Working collaboratively to improve the provision for those pupils who are gifted and talented including the evaluation of 'summer schools'.
Support for GRTP and NQT programmes in relation to pupils who have special educational needs.
Developing and supporting SENCO cluster groups at both Primary and Secondary level.
Evaluation of Learning Support provision in High Schools.
Support for the monitoring of residential provision against National Care Standards.
Our collective experience allows us to effectively support Local Education Authorities and Childrens Services in many aspects of their work.
CiE develop effective working relationships based upon trust and mutual respect.
Current good practice is shared and evaluation used to inform planning.
We continue to work with Authorities to promote Innovation for Learning. For further information and informal enquiries please contact
