The skills of speaking and listening, reading and writing are essential to a child's progress in any aspect of their education. Never more so than when the individual is experiencing a range of difficulties which hamper the development of these skills.

In partnership with the school we can:

Make an assessment of the literacy needs of pupils.

Develop a plan of action, starting from where the school is at in its approach to literacy development.

Where required, focus on the teaching of reading with particular consideration for very late starters.

Work with staff on the literacy element of IEPs.

Introduce or re-invigorate Literacy across the Curriculum.

Support your SENCO and/or your English Co-ordinator.
