Performance
Management Is a way of helping schools improve by supporting and improving
teachers (both as individuals and teams);
Sets a framework for teachers and their team leaders to agree and review
priorities and objectives within the overall context of schools' development
plans.
It has been a statutory requirement within all maintained schools since December
2000.
CiE offer specialist guidance and advice to support effective Performance Management
within schools and links the performance framework with pay rewards. We offer
a comprehensive service which takes account of current developments in performance
management and rewarding good practice covering:
The principles of performance management and annual review.
Setting appropriate objectives and success criteria.
Writing a review statement.
Practical experience of conducting a performance review.
Relating outcomes to professional development.
Identifying the key features of lesson observation.
Establishing links between performance and pay.
